Dana Elaine Owens better known as Queen Latifah, is an American rapper actress and singer. Queen Latifah is an American actress, rapper as well as a singer. Queen Latifah, the daughter of the Newark New Jersey schoolteacher and an Newark New Jersey police officer Lancelot Owens Senior, was born and raised in Newark New Jersey. Their divorce occurred in the year Latifah was 10 years old. Latifah was raised in the Baptist church, and attended Catholic high school located at Newark New Jersey. Latifah refers to gentle and gentle. Her mother gave it to her at the age of 8. Latifah has always been large, at 5'10" She was a power forward of her high-school basketball team.
